20/02 - Rehearsals are now underway for our July show "Tributes & Legends" which will be the first show produced and directed by Lee Evans. The show will pay tribute to musical legends and also Leverstock Green Players past and present

02/02 - It has been decided that for our next show we will not be providing a supper. Firstly this will enable us to keep our ticket prices down amid rising costs for hall hire etc. and although we have had suppers for many years we feel that perhaps this is now getting dated. People are more than welcome as always to bring their own drinks and nibbles.

02/02 - We raised just shy of £500 on our raffle to donate to the Prostate Cancer Awareness Charity. We have also decided to add the raffle money from the previous show bringing this to around £900.

28/11 - Tickets have recently gone on sale for our January 2010 show and we now only have tickets available for the Wednesday night performance. We will be reviewing ticketing prior to the next show in order to try and meet increasing demand. Updates will be posted on this site.

13/9 - Our next show is called "Westenders" and will take place in January 2010. The show will be produced and directed by Ian Payne with the theme being West End Musicals. Don't forget to look us up on Facebook for more pictures and video clips

4/9 - Congratulations to Lee Evans and Laura Critcher on their wedding today. 3 Players weddings in a year, who next we wonder?!?!

4/4 -Our next show is called Happy Days and will be produced by Joan Stevens. The show runs from 15th to 18th July. Tickets will go on sale in May. More details will be posted nearer the time.

29/3 - Congratulations to Ian Curtis and Kelly Baron who got married yesterday (to each other)

6/2 - We have raised just shy of £800 to donate to the Dacorum Community Trust. This was from the raffle ticket sales at our January show which was matched by Total UK. Thanks to both Total and all our loyal audience who have once again given very generously.

8/11 -Tickets for our January show go on general sale on the 20th November. Tickets available via the box office on 01442 259573. Please note that Wednesday night tickets have been increased to £7 in line with the other 3 nights. The show runs from the 28th January to 31st January.

26/08 - Our next show will be called "A Night At Luigi's" and will be produced by Ian Curtis. This show has been in the making for about 10 years, so should be a good one............ no pressure Mr C !!!

26/08 - Thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets at the summer show. We raised a fantastic £386 which will be donated to the Herts Air Ambulance Service. Our ticket sellers, Ustane and Laura, did such a great job, they will dress as Bunny Girls in January to see if they can help break the £400 barrier !!!! (not that we've told them yet!!)

04/07 - We would like to finally welcome a new pianist on board. Andrew Edrupt joined us a few weeks ago and is doing a sterling job at such short notice. Please give him a warm welcome if you come along to the show.

04/07 - We are running a stall at the Leverstock Green Fete on 12th July. Pop by and pay a visit. We will be having a beat the goalie game with Ian Curtis and Tommy Payne resuming last years stint between the sticks. 27/01 - Well another show over, one that has once again been very well received. Thankyou for your continued support. Join us again in July for our next production "Blast From The Past" when we will be performing some of our favourite acts from previous shows.

10/10 - Our current pianist is taking a break after the January 2008 show and we are therefore on the lookout for an accomplished pianist/keyboard player to join us for our July 2008 show and perhaps beyond. We do have our own electric piano, but if there is someone out there willing to bring their own equipment that is great. If you have this skill and fancy joining a friendly group such as us then please contact Ian on 01442 263395 or by mail via this site. We rehearse every Thursday and you would be more than welcome to come along during the current show to see what we are all about. Hope to hear from someone soon.

16/07 - We had a great day at the fete in Leverstock Green on Saturday. Luckily the weather held out. Special thanks to Kathy Willingale who baked a great cake for our competition and also to our 2 goalkeepers; Ian Curtis and future England number 1 Tommy Payne. Thanks to everyone who popped along to our stall and we hope to be back next year.

13/07 - Well another successful show over and everyone is looking forward to a well earned rest over the summer. A big thanks to everybody who came to the show and especially those who purchased raffle tickets. On the back of this we have raised £394 for the Waterside Centre in Kings Langley.

Our open evening takes place next week on the 19th. If you are in anyway tempted to get up on stage or fancy joining the group in another capacity then please do drop in anytime between 8pm and 10pm.

Our next show will be "Variety and More" and will run from 23rd to 26th January 2008. Kathy Willingale, with the assistance of Sue Weatherly will be producing this show.

22/05 - Fancy treading the boards or being part of the group behind the scenes? Well we are on the lookout for new members and are having an open evening at the hall in Leverstock Green on Thursday 19th July from 7.45pm. Come and find out what we are all about. No previous stage experience is necessary, but it goes without saying that you should be able to either sing, dance or act. Over 16's only. 30/04 - Tickets go on sale for "Back In The Swing" on the 17th May. Due to us pretty much selling out our last show and having an ever increasing mailing list, we advise you book as early as possible after this date to avoid disappointment. Booking details will be available soon.

17/02 - Due to our Web administrator changing ISP, we have had to use a new server to download our website. This means that, at least, for the time being, you may see pop-ups when you load up the site. We apologise for this as it can be annoying, but it only takes a click to get rid of them.

17/02 - The prize draw for 2 tickets for our next show has taken place and the winner was Larina Payne. She happens to be the daughter of our most excellent chairman, but be assured the draw was completely impartial and made in front of the group. Aside from this, her Dad doesn't let her have pocket money, so she'll be glad that she won't be getting a ticket as a birthday present as is normal !!!

17/02 - Our next show "Back In The Swing" will be co-produced by Debbie Cook and Kelly Baron. More details will follow in the near future.

16/02 - We can confirm that we have just posted record ticket sales for a show. All 4 nights were pretty much sold out (thankfully the snow held off), so a big thanks to all of you who have continued to support us and also to the many new faces that were in the audience. We hope to see you again in the future.

19/11 - Tickets for "Just Kidding" go on general sale from the 23rd November; £6 for the Wednesday night, £7 all others. As the title may, or indeed may not, suggest, the show is based around the younger generation theme. There will be songs from such classic childrens musicals such as Bugsy Malone, Annie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Sound of Music and oh, so much more including witty sketches and erm, some more witty sketches. It promises to be an evening of great entertainment (so says the man typing this who just so happens to be the co-producer), but don't just take my word for it, come along and see for yourselves. box office

04/06 - THE GRAND VARIETY SHOW - OCTOBER 21^st. In order to help raise funds for major changes that are taking place at the Village Hall, our Stage Manager Mick Reeve will be producing a “One Night Only” variety show, which will be featuring a number of ex-Leverstock Green Players.
